Seals made of elastomers, polyurethanes and thermoplastics are becoming more and more common in many areas of industry, often as early as the design phase. The main task of seals is to prevent unwanted media transitions and to exclude contamination of the sealing system. It takes a lot of experience to design a seal taking into account a wide variety of factors: from operating media to pressures and temperatures to speeds, surfaces or the right choice of material, in order to be able to provide customers with the best possible support. Together with the training participants, we will build up this technical knowledge in an understandable form and present various seals in the process.
