2014 – a new era begins
Generational change. After several months of seeking, an ideal combination for the future is found: Josef Blässinger GmbH + Co KG (Stuttgart, Germany) acquires 100% of share capital from the existing shareholders. A new era begins.
2012
Our trainees strive for higher goals. They want to obtain the professional baccalaureate and achieve it with basic training or straight afterwards. Congratulations!
2009
Recertification according to new ISO 9001:2008 specifications.
2004
For the first time, one of our employees attends an instructors’ training course and we decide to start offering apprenticeships for wholesale and export merchants.
2003
The remaining shares are repurchased. Once again, René Baer AG becomes a 100% independent Swiss company.
2001
René Baer AG recertifies its quality management system according to ISO 9001:2000.
1998
René Baer AG has a first-class machine park at its OWN PRODUCTION FACILITY. The company implements a quality management system according to ISO 9002:1994.
1997
Management buy-out and most shares repurchased. The FIRST GEAR WHEEL produced in the company’s OWN WORKSHOP.
1991
Most of the the shares are sold to a gear manufacturer in Germany for the time being.
1982
Sole proprietorship converted into the stock corporation René Baer AG. IT-based order management introduced.
1978
Product range expanded to include toothed belt drives.
1973
Property extended. Company’s own workshop for H7 finish bores established. Company’s own product also established abroad.
1971
Company expanded. Capacity limits in Zurich reached. Company headquarters relocated to the current Samstagern location.
1962 – Foundation
Private company founded in Zurich by René Baer. The development of V-belt pulleys that can be adjusted at standstill closes a gap in the market. In-house development makes the company the market leader in Switzerland.
